Making Home Care and Hospice a Bi-Partisan Leglislative Priority
TEXAS HOMECARE & HOSPICE PAC distributions are made on a bi-partisan, pro-homecare and hospice basis. Candidates receiving contributions are selected based upon their record of support for home care and hospice issues, their assignment to key committees or leadership positions, and other factors. All contributors may provide input to the 27-member TEXAS HOMECARE & HOSPICE PAC Council. Council members serve two-year staggered terms and each year that TAHC&H Board of Directors appoints TAHC&H members to fill expired terms. Advocacy in Action for TAHC&H Members- Who can contribute?
Since TEXAS HOMECARE & HOSPICE PAC is established to give the home care and hospice industry in Texas a voice with both federal and state lawmakers, contributions can be made to both our state efforts and, if you are eligible, our federal efforts unless specified otherwise. Everyone is eligible and encouraged to make personal contributions to TEXAS HOMECARE & HOSPICE PAC state efforts, however there are certain restrictions on contributions to support our federal efforts. Only owners and upper-management of incorporated businesses, as well as owners in non-incorporated businesses are eligible to contribute to our federal efforts. Hourly employees, their first-line supervisors, and non-principal employees of partnerships are not eligible to contribute to our federal efforts. Individuals are limited to $5,000 in donations to TEXAS HOMECARE & HOSPICE PAC's federal efforts per calendar year. Corporate contributions are prohibited and contributions may only be accepted from U.S. citizens. Contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes.
